Thick (.187”) ABS durable plastic and all hardware is included.
Two recessed areas are molded into the front of the top to facilitate a customer who may wish to add off-road/fog lights to the top. A single recessed area is molded into the rear of the top so that a customer may add a small light to illuminate the bed/cargo area. Nice features!
An interior dome light is standard and this is a great feature for farmers, hunters, or anyone who may use their Mule in the early morning or in the darkness of night. We include the light as a standard option (no extra charge) and it is simple to hook up.
A small ‘rain-gutter’ is molded around the perimeter of the top to catch any runoff moisture.
Simple and quick to install, the only tools required are common hand tools. Installation time is approximately 45-minutes and detailed instructions and ALL hardware is included.
Custom tooling and aluminum molds were made especially for the Trans Mule. This hard top fits perfectly to the Trans Mule and is NOT some universal hard top like some outlets offer.
Our hard top is custom molded to fit all the contours and curvatures of the Trans Mule; Looks & performs like a factory option.
The bed CAN easily be extended with our top attached, and transforming the Mule from one to two seat mode is NOT affected by our top.
The bed WILL dump in the short bed configuration with no interference from our top. Mount our hard top and have no worries about dumping in the short bed (two-seat) configuration. See our FAQ (frequently asked question) section for further details.
NO drilling is required. Our top is ready to be installed and does not require you drilling any holes into the rollbar of your new Mule. The top works with all factory-offered windshields - Including the Kawasaki Mule 3010 Trans Lexan Windshield from MD Inc.
We have tested our top with all windshields from Kawasaki, and also a few of the popular after-market windshield manufacturers.
Two-piece construction allows for less expensive shipping (versus a one-piece top which would need to be shipped by a freight company based on its larger size). Our top is computer designed, and interlocks to create a watertight seal when bolted together. No worries about the top leaking water between the two halves!
